The T Level foundation provides a high-quality route to a T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning qualification.
What is the T Level Foundation?
Think you might like to do a T Level, but need more time to get ready?
The T Level Foundation will help you develop your skills and prepare you for the next level. It’s a one-year post-GCSE course designed to get you T Level ready. It will give you relevant knowledge, practical and study skills, work experience and support tailored to you and your chosen T Level subject area.
You can expect to:
This qualifcation requires five GCSEs, including English and Maths. One must be at least a grade 4 and the other a grade 3. The other 3 GCSEs must be a grade 3.
As part of the application process, you’ll be invited in for an interview to discuss the course in more detail and to understand your career aspirations.

On this Construction & the Built Environment T Level, you will learn:
Industry-relevant technical knowledge and skills
Knowledge and skills for the workplace
Positive attitude and behaviours
Skills for successful study
English, maths and digital skills
Once you’ve finished the course and received your Level 2 Certificate in Construction & the Built Environment, there are a number of options available.
Depending on your final grade you could move onto a T Level course. After your T Level, a higher education course including a HTQ/HND, higher apprenticeship or a degree at university, or you could seek employment.
In September 2025 we will be offering the T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning, a two-year technical study programme.
In September 2025 we will be offering the T Level in Civil Engineering, a two-year technical study programme.
